We recommend using encryption with a startup password.
This makes it harder for others to read your saved files.
If you forget your password, you will not be able to start Clibor, so please be careful.
To confirm that encryption is enabled, check the following setting:
Preferences > General > Data > [Recommended] Encrypt saved data
Clibor stores clipboard history, templates, and other files in the same folder as the application.
Even though these files are encrypted, there are still limitations:
- Anyone who can start Clibor can view data in the app and export templates.
For stronger protection, use Windows security features in addition to Clibor:
- Do not share your Windows sign-in account with others
- Lock your screen when you step away (Win + L)
- Enable Windows built-in drive encryption: BitLocker (or Device encryption)
